Post by Guest on Thu Jan 05, 2012 11:57 pm

Everyone uses different stuff when hunting. Everything from bows , arrows, knives and so on. Tomorrow I'll take pix but here is a short list.

Jerry Hill or PSE bow
Woodies or CX Alumn arrows
Leather back quiver or Cat I quiver
shooting glove
camp hatchet
3 knives on Me
2 lighters
2 or 3 flashlights (one being a head lamp)
map of area
first aid kit
small sewing kit
canoe w/paddle (when hunting near water, Lakes, rivers)
small file
tripod or tree pod (depends on if I'm in a tree or on the ground)
2way radio (if hunting with someone else or camping with Wife/Friends)
toiletries (soap, deodorant, toothpaste, TP)

what is some of the stuff You take when hitting the woods. I know it sound like I go out for weeks on end, But I most hunt for 2 or 3 days at a time.

I like to travel light. I hunt from home so I prepare for emergencies when afield because alot of the areas I hunt are remote. I pack....
1-Gerber Multi-tool
1-Comprehensive first aid kit
1-xtra bow string (recurve)
Deer calls-rattling antlers
power bars
xtra socks, long underwear
shooting glove (recurve)
camoflage face paint
several flashlights
pruning shears (blind building, limb trimming)
folding saw
spare gloves
small wool blanket( cushion for sitting on ground, blanket for warmth in emergency)
seems like alot but in all packs in a compact way. I use either my Badlands sacrifice or monster fanny packs.
