The North Carolina turkey season is about a week and a half away. Anyone else hearing any gobbles or ready to hunt Gamelands with a bow this year?

Getting ready myself. A friend and I are headed south this year to get started. Have to get through my sons wedding first though. Folks might be mad if I took off and missed that!

I was blessed to have three weeks to turkey hunt before my family and I PCSed to Japan. My buddy harvested a bird opening day and I harvested my biggest turkey to date. I hope everyone is having a successful season also! Be safe and happy hunting!!!

I saw tons of turkey tracks on the public land this weekend. Now turkey season is all I can think about.

I'm off work Monday I'm going out to do a little scouting myself. I've never shot one with a bow but am hopeful, they can be difficult enough at times with a shotgun. Good luck to all this season.
