After the boss vetoed me getting a new bow, I was able to come up with this ole girl for a few bucks. Browning Explorer II, 62" and 45# @ 28". I pull 29". I'm going to try and harvest my first with this vintage bow. She really shoots great. The boss dubbed her "Jorja" so, I'll have to live with that! Rolling Eyes

I played around and came up with an Arrow Dynamic Trad Lite, cut 29.5" b.o.p., 175gr tip with a total arrow weight of 513gr's. What do ya'll think?

I used to have one exactly like that. Sold it in a bonehead moment.

I think it's a great idea and a nice looking bow. I did the same thing I gave away my first bow in a bonehead moment. I can't even remember who I gave it to. It was a Bear Kodiak Magnum. Now I wish I had it back. Maybe this year we can have a traditional deer hunting contest. I think most of the guy's at this site right now hunt that way or are interested in traditional.

I've got 6 uncut cedar shafts coming to try and tune to this bow. If I can get them to fly right, I'm gonna tip them with 160gr Ace broad heads. Here's hoping!

Ace is an awesome head. I shot a racoon in the neck with a 200 grainer and it almost decapitated him.

I have some Stos heads on hand also but, liked the cutting diameter of the Ace better. I haven't taken any game with either head but, they both fly pretty well with the bows I've used before.
