i use a CROSSBOW...SO WHAT?
quite a number of years ago I was shooting my Mathews when I had the most severe and sharpest pain in my lower back that I have ever expirienced, so I went and seen my family doctor...my doctor took x-rays and immediately referred me to a specialist . upon looking at my x-rays the specialist told me I had a disease in my spine called degenerative disc disease that was and still is taking its toll on my health.as he was a bowhunter himself, he suggested, that, I stop shooting a bow as he said all it would do would damage me further..and he also suggested that I try a crossbow out as it would be easier on my back....then I became hooked on crossbows and crossbow hunting..i have taken quite a few big deer and turkeys with my equipment...very cleanly and humanly ..so when someone scoffs at my set-up..i tell them that one day you might be in my shape and then you wont scoff so much at a crossbow, because it might be the only way you can bowhunt period.....

Sorry about your health issues. Hope ya find a good fix. I love Traditional style archery! I try to make as much equipment, myself, as possible. There are too many hunters out there that like to slam the other style i.e. gunners hate archers, trad hates wheelies, etc. If it is legal where you are and it keeps you hunting GOOD for you! Anti's love it when hunters fight, United We Stand-Divided We Fall! Hunt hard, hunt safe!
