MY FIRST DEER Empty MY FIRST DEER

Post by koboxerks Sat Sep 19, 2015 10:00 am

Well after 3 days of hunting I moved my stand to a place dropping BUNCH of acorns. I had a heckuva time getting up the tree cause my climber kept getting caught. So after an hour of getting it in the tree, resting, getting it up the tree, resting, safety & securing it, i was up at about 3pm. After eating a granola bar, I sat to gather myself & not even 10 minutes later a doe walks up to my left. I hasn't even gotten my arrow knocked yet. Got it knocked slowly, pulled back & she turned behind a tree. I held it for 6 minutes probably. When I lost her eyes, I let off. She came around it & looked me DEAD in the eyes. She was perfect position about 10 yards out, I pulled back & stuck her. With her tail between her legs, she fell about 30 yards away. MY FIRST DEER!!! Perfect pass through heart shot. God is good!!!
