Hello everyone! I live in Bakersfield and because of business and family duties I'm looking for the CLOSEST areas around me that I could drive to and back for a days hunt. I would like to hunt deer, turkey, squirrel and rabbit with my bow. Any specific area recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome, we're very glad you joined us. I do have a link to all available Cali public land listed on the main Cali page. That might be a help, til some locals can offer advice.

Thanks for the welcome Dave! I've very happy to have found this site as I've often felt all alone as a traditional bowhunter in California!! I'll take a look at that.
