Got a small one Saturday evening, my question is how long should I wait before hunting that stand again? There's not a lot of pressure there, just a small piece if ground not many know about. This was only the second time I'd hunted the stand...

There is no hard and fast rule about waiting to hunt a stand you killed from. If it's an active area, you may see deer on your next sit. If you left a lot of scent and spooked other deer (you may not even know you spooked them) recovering the deer and getting it out, deer may be cautious and avoid the area after a while. I continue to hunt good stands , as long as the wind is with me, until they go cold.
