I got my first deer friday morn with my bama longbow. 10yrd shot she ran 75 yrds and piled up. I was so excited it was like getting your first deer. And i did it on public land. I had to pack it out 1to mile with stand and backpack but it was well worth it.

I remember a hunt long ago where my hands were near frostbitten. It was the last day, last hour and I finally got one. First thing I did was open it up and stick my hands in the cavity to warm them up.

Congrats bud, still working on my first trad kill, and I only get to hunt public, which can add to the difficulty, so feel proud, !!
