Deer Sticks Head into Hunters' Blind for a Snack

Post by Waiting4Fall on Tue Jun 19, 2012 7:09 pm

This is a great story!! One time, years ago on public land in Ohio, I had the unique opportunity to touch a wild button buck that walked upon me while I was scouting.
I heard a noise behind me & there he was. I slowly sat down, and started to talk to him. I had some snack bars in my pack & "lured" him in. My last piece was held a bit less than arm's length. He slowly extended his neck to grab the food & as he chewed it in my hand I rubbed the underside of his chin. With the food gone, he wandered off. True story.
