Box Target
As soon as I saw this box had a handle, you know what came to mind ! I filled it with a very large amount of plastic bags. Took 2 rolls of duct tape to cover it, some stickers & boom! Portable box target, with carrying handle. It'll come in handy one of these days.
Re: Box Target
Nice target bro. Where the bio-hazard dots come from - guess it's a job perk.
Wonder how a box like that filled with expandable spray foam would work?

Yes, I was given some biohazard stickers. I thought that was a good idea. Also, the expanding foam is a good idea too. Man, you have alot of good ideas!
Re: Box Target
I also like the expandable foam idea, I wonder how many cans it would take to fill a box that size? I'll probably be finding out real soon!

Re: Box Target
You can use clothing/towels etc... to fill a box target. You add some clothes and push it down filling in the edges and then push in some more getting the middle filled. I made a box out of plywood and 2x2's. The top or lid I used hinges to make it a flip top. Leaving off one side of plywood for the target face. Covered that side with piece of blue tarp stapled and pulled tight. Then marker or spray paint or whatever your targets. Also painted the plywood exterior because it is left outside. This is the target I shoot broadheads into. If it gets torn up just replace the piece of tarp. The flip top lid is for filling it with clothes in the first place, and also because sometimes the braodhead gets kinds stuck in the clothes. This way you can help it out if need be. Field points stop very well and never get stuck. The broad head sometimes hooks a piece of cloth on the way out and needs to be helped. Try to avoid tough nylon and man made fabrics as they don't rip easily. In hindsight I made bit too large. Took lots of old clothes and sheets to fill. Once filled, one guy can't really pick it up when loaded. (when the target is loaded with clothes that is) A nice large target to shoot at though. about 3'x3'x14"deep And the only thing I had to buy was a box of staples. Right in my price range! I do like the box filled with plastic bags. A light weight box for sure. Will be on the look out for box...

Re: Box Target
shooting from a compound bow/ carbon arrows, will this harm them? I made one when I first got the bow I shoot now, and someone told me it stopped the arrows too abruptly, and caused damage over time?? not sure how true it is...
