Osage is number on in number of deer harvested but that's because it's the largest county. If you look at record books though Pushmataha co has #1 & #2 scoring deer. Two AWESOME areas that are public BOWHUNTING only is Pushmataha wma (30,000 ac) & James Collins wma (30,000 ac) public bowhunting only. Both set in kiamichi mountains & are unbelievable!!!

I have a friend that has 300 acres in Seminole county.
He is west about 8 miles from Wewoka Ok. Can anyone tell me if that area has a decent deer population. He invited me out. He is not a hunter but says that he has a few deer on his place. I'm in Florida so just thinking about the drive to there and back and don't want to waste 40 hrs of driving if it's not a good idea. Thanks!!
