What kind of public land opportunities does this place have? Are there very many hunters from everyones experience?

I've been hunting it for 15 years, and fixin to head out there for another sunrise-sunset hunt today. I love the area, it definitely holds lot's of deer. I've seen several big bucks in the wma too. Pre gunseason the hunting pressure is very, very low. Gun season it get's hammered like most places.

Here's the key to Amherst, you have to be prepared to walk to places other's just won't go to. It's my favorite wma to hunt. Best of luck, if you decide to check it out.

Thanks, I have turkey hunted it in the past. That involves walking for a mile to the ridge. Is that where all the deer are too?
