The 1300+ shed bucks is really disappointing. The main reason for the shed buck issue is because Iowa has a late antlerless season that runs through mid January. And in a year where Iowa had pretty severe drought, many buck shed earlier than usual. The late antlerless season is mainly in the southern 1/3 of the state and the use of high powered rifles is allowed.
