I have seen this before but some of the places I hunt have logging roads that go two miles in. I was thinking about riding a mountain bike down the road with my Lone Wolf on my back. Has anyone ever tried this?

done it several times, the problem I had was sweating on the ride in which totally messes up my scent control. I would rather walk for an hour than get there quickly and sweat.

I'll bike in the early season when the roads are dry, but once they get alittle rain it's time to park the bike. Carrying my 64" longbow is also a challenge so I don't bike as much as I use to with the compound.

Piney your down South like me, where you sweat just standing outside in Oct!!!!

yep, lot of woods where I am at. Looking at a spot 2 miles in now with a .5 mile ride saving me time in and out. Have to lighten the load and pack tight

Now that is awesome. I have a road bike and a hybrid. I may pick up a cheap mountain bike to haul deer.

I used them many yrs in Fl's flatlands..made good game carts too, if you could stand it up after you got the game tied down..just walk along beside it and keep it straight up. It took all I could muster to stand this sow up.

Yes we do this - and depending on tide schedule we sometimes take a bike when we hunt Blackbeard. Riding along a mile and a half of beach to a morning stand under a starlit predawn sky is amazing.
