Fanatic Outdoors “Hammock Seat”
I am not big on being off the ground (not keen on heights) so I intend to do my hunting from ground level. That being said....
I just got my Fanatic Outdoors “Hammock Seat” in the mail on Monday.
Took it out in the front yard to test it out on one of our trees.
I got to tell you it is great! So easy to set up, adjustable and it is extremely comfortable!
If you have been thinking about getting one, DO IT! You won't be sorry.
If you have not heard of them I am going to provide you with a site where I got mine ordered on Thursday and received on the following Monday. That is quick service.
This is the site

Order now and get it for $50 that is five off regular price it came to $61 total with shipping it is worth it in my book.
And no I get nothing for this review. Just trying to make life easier for those ground hunters like me.

Dave, I am considering the Hammock Seat. How do you like it; and have you had any success using it?

Re: Fanatic Outdoors “Hammock Seat”
For the ground I've never used anything better! My closest encounter was 2 does at about 15 yds, but they were directly on my left side offering no shot (I'm left handed). They never knew I was there.
Re: Fanatic Outdoors “Hammock Seat”
I used the hammock seat this past season. It's very comfortable if adjusted correctly and will work well if your brushed in real good. Here is the problem I had, and the reason I will be abandoning it and going back to trees:
Unless you can have a set-up well before a planned hunt, where a natural ground blind is created it is hard to hunt with. Down south on public land feed trees are the really only high percentage hunt(with the exception of the rut). Sometimes a feed tree is only primary for a week or even a few days, so preparation for a natural ground blind is limited and almost impossible because of the necessity of disturbing the area for set-up. If your hunting trails, it will work, if your hunting acorns, not at all. Just my experience over this past season.

Pineywoods,
I can see exactly what you are saying. I would have predetermined places to use it on travel paths. I would use natural material to construct a ground blind before hand. My concern is being eye level with the deer and it catching movement as I draw.
