OK, let me inaugurate this section of the site. This is from a bloodtrail a few weeks ago. Fairly straight forward double lung hit, with an expandable broadhead that devastated the deer. While the animal only traveled roughly fifty yards from impact, it was dark as we trailed. It quickly became obvious that we had a great hit, including chunks of lung in the trail. We try and include tips and tactics that will help lead others to a successful recovery. If this style of video proves popular, we will try and film more of these on varying styles of bloodtrails involving different types of hits.

Thanks Dave. I'll try and work a few more of these into our line-up, based on different types of hits. This one was a gimme, very short trail. Not that I want a liver, gut or other marginal hit, but if it does happen, I think those types of trails would be very beneficial from an educational perspective to help others retrieve their game. Even gutshots are fatal, no reason to let good meat go to waste. Hope some others will take a  bit of extra time to film their trails as well, each bloodtrail is a learning process in how to successfully recover your game.
