Deer in the late season on public land seem to have disappeared since they almost all have become nocturnal by now. What are some tips to hunting pressured areas in the late season. Hunt the food source and bedding areas yes. But what are some different ideas that you all have used?

if your after bucks the only way to see them this late is to stalk them in their beds. I know, almost impossible, but that is the only way I have ever seen bucks this late.

Look for areas that get good sun exposure from mid morning to later in the afternoon. Deer will gravitate to these areas...south facing slopes, clear cuts, etc...

Okay thanks, Every bit helps! Right now I'm hunting the main food spice which is corn but their mostly hitting it at night. Every once in a while I catch one moving towards the field during daylight.

Weather and moon phase factor in BIG TIME late season. A really harsh cold snap will get them on their feet during daylight to feed in the late afternoon when it is warmest. They will also move to feed right ahead of strong fronts, and if it warms up significantly after a prolonged period of cold. Try hunt the last quarter going into a dark moon as well. Full moons poo poo on daytime deer movement under most circumstances.
