My Public Land 10pt (my son holding it)

2012 Buck, Morning Hunt, November 6th. Came in on a string right to my homemade grunt call. 20 yard shot.

Great buck!  How bout some more details on the hunt?

Well, it was 11/6, rut was going! Hunting with my best bud in our 2-man stand. Kept hearing noises to our right. I did a not-too-aggressive triple grunt and this guy came in like he read the script exactly. He left some does and another buck to check out the grunting. He stopped right at my 20yd marker, a scrape, and stood broadside. I offered him to my son first but he declined and told me to take him (what a great kid right) so I put a carbon impaling on him. He went 80yds and expired. This buck has  the highest number of points I have ever taken, aside from another 10pt I got with my truck. One of my fondest memories of hunting I'll ever have.
