Knee Surgery ..... SUCKS!!!!!!
Well I have to significantly change up my approach for hunting my public spots because I had to have knee surgery on August 22. So as of today I am just over 6 weeks since surgery. Just got off the crutches permanently and scaled down from the full leg immobilizer to a smaller hinged brace, which I can walk better with. The bonus is I am off work until probably December 1st. Sucky part is I can hunt, yes, but I can't walk very far without it hurting pretty bad. So most of my best public land spots are inaccessible for me, at least for now. I'm hoping that by the rut I will be a little better conditioned to walking in farther to some of my better spots. Started physical therapy about a week ago so we'll see how it goes. I've had to resort so far to very easily accessible spots that are relatively close to the truck. And as we all know, those spots usually are mediocre at best. But it's whatever. I'm just thankful that I have the extra time to spend in the woods hunting this year, whether I'm hunting my prime spots or not.

Slow and steady wins the race. Easy for me to sit here and say don't over do it. But, don't over do it, lol. Keep us posted about your progress.

Thanks brotha, I'm trying hard not to over do it. It's tough sometimes though, especially when I have all this extra time on my hands. Oh well, just more time to "plan for next year" I guess. LOL
And this was what I wore up until a week ago. Crutches too. Both gone now thankfully and now using a less restrictive neoprene brace with metal hinges and stability straps. Much easier.
