I got a recurve Empty I got a recurve

I have always wanted to give traditional archery a try. I was able to work a deal with a guy to get a recurve over the weekend. I cannot wait to shoot it and possibly shoot a deer with it next year. It is a browning wasp. It is not a new bow but it works for what I need. It is 48 pounds at 28".

That's awesome! You will enjoy shooting it. A few words of advice if I may. Start close to your target, 5 yards max. Don't worry about where your hitting just consent rate on form. A consistent anchor point is a must. It's your rear sight. Don't wear yourself out shooting it only causes bad habits that are hard to break. You will be building muscle memory. Stay close as hard as it is to do until your consistent at 5 yards then take one step back! Yup, one step back at a time lol

Congrat's on your new found journey, it is awesome, Don't get discouraged, things get better, and that's what I love about it, every plateau,(sp) keeps it new, and exciting. 48#'s would be to much for me to start with, but everyone is different, enjoy, and Merry Christmas

Thanks for the help. I have not been able to shoot at all but that will change after the new year.
