Anybody use this method for deer when they are far off the beaten path?

yeah but only once with a deer, had to walk along way to tha truck and had no other means to drag it out( other than me) so i quartered it up, cut off tha tenderloins stuckem in ma backpack, bout a sixty pound doe. For that it was the only way. but i come from a family who like to show off what we kill no matter what it is. so i like to bing them back as whole as i can:) Now hogs, thats a different story all together, unless it is huge i aint draggin that nasty rascal out, i get tha meat and go. Shoot, where i hunt in sumter county we cant keepem run out of tha pea patch so to speak So we kill tha seed out ovem, but we kill one 5 take its Place. These are kinda optional animals though,ah elk on tha uther hand you bout have ta break out tha skidder if you dont wanna " Pack it out" I aint ever seen an elk accept on tv, they look neet.

Thanks. Another trick to add to the bag. I might have to use this in some of those deep areas. Yeah, never hunted elk, but I would sure think field dressing one by yourself the traditional way would be tough to do.

Last year I took a good friends advice & started field quartering. It's the most efficient method for getting deer out of the deep woods. Hunting 2+ miles in wouldn't be feasible without this method.

Good video. I like that they are using trash bags in a backpack. Stuff I already have laying around. I guess if you are humping out a head and antlers, you might want to cover those up huh?
