Anyone Seeing signs of EHD this year?
This buck died a few hours after picture was taken back in 2008.With all the dry weather we're having this year, I have not found any dead deer yet this season.

Here in Illinois they find a few each summer usually in farm ponds. However 2008 there were areas that were wiped out and still have not rebounded back. I live and hunt along the Mississippi River which there is usually no problem. Head East 5-10 miles away and in 2008 farm ponds were littered with dead carcases. Some farmers found up to 12 deer with most reporting around 3-4. Knock on Wood, being drier this year than 2008 I've only heard of one case so for.

EDH continues….it is 44 days until the first expected frost where I live. For more information go to http://mdc.mo.gov/landwater-care/animal-management/animal-diseases/deer-diseases/hemorrhagic-disease
