Calls and lure scents

When do you start using calls and lure scents? I am hunting a new area this year. I've been finding a ton of tracks and recently found a rub, so I was wondering, what would be the best way to hunt the area? Calls and lure scents Buck_r10

I have no idea of the size of this buck.
