New for 2012, SUNDAY Turkey Hunting!!!

Maryland's turkey season is set to open tomorrow, April 18th and runs through May 23rd, hunting hours are a half hour before sunrise until noon until May 9th, then a half hour before sunrise until sunset May 10th through May 23rd.

The great news is that due to diligent legislative efforts by politically active hunters, last year Maryland added two Sundays to hunt on PUBLIC and private land in two western Maryland counties, Garrett and Allegany, and this year added four more counties for Sunday hunting on private lands only,for the full season, to that list in southern Maryland. This goes to show that if hunters become politically active, there is no end to what can be achieved.
