Wondering if Iowa is worth the $ or is there another region / state that has more bang (pardon the pun) for the buck?

I can't speak from experience, but seem like northern MO would be just as good for less money. I have plans to make a MO trip this Nov. I'll be sure to post my finds here.

Well fella's it was a tough trip. We spent 3 days narrowing down to a CA we felt comfortable hunting. Then spent 3 days hunting it. We end up hunting right across the river from Iowa on a river bottom tract of public land. We saw about 10 bucks a piece & I saw the biggest buck of my life, but nothing in range. In talking to locals & other hunters it appears we just hit MO on a bad year.
