What area do you hunt? Empty What area do you hunt?

I am new to the forum and will introduce myself. I live in southeastern Michigan I am 31 years old married with 2 kids. I work too much and hunt too little. I hope this will start to change. When I do hunt I hunt state land in southern Michigan mainly. I know these lands well as I grew up hunting them. I do not have any big wall hangers but have seen a bunch and missed a few. I like the idea of public hunting because it is hard. Nothing is easy about it, you have no control but when it all comes together the reward is awesome. Top areas I hunt are waterloo and pickney state game.

Waterloo. Thanks for sharing. I am right there with you. In NH the land is vast and the deer are few, but it is a great challenge. For me, being able to 'pick a patch of woods' and go in deep is where it is at. I have been doing that for a long time without a bow in my hand looking for critters and now I am. I look forward to hearing about your experiences. Thanks for being part of the forum.
