If none of these links help you, let me know. We will get you hooked up! Also, I don't know if you know what a "quadrangle" is but if you go the paper map route you'll need the correct quadrangle. Also, 1:24,000 is a good resolution to have a topo map printed in.

This is awesome because you can keep all your maps in your computer, or print them off.

1- Make sure all your computer maintenance is on an auto schedule.
2- Windows is up to date. Also, should be automatic.

3- Internet Explorer is updated.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Update-Internet-Explorer
4- Adobe products are up to date.

If you can get Google Earth to work, the INTRO of this vid shows you what it can do. ACME Mapper is a really good, free site, that will help you with terrain features. Hope this helps.

Flash Earth is a new (new to me) web site like google maps. You can't print the maps but the satilite vews are only about a year old unlike google which are 3-5. It had to be the clearest I've seen also. I can pick out trees I've sat it! Although you can't print, you can print page on your pc, paste it onto a MS power point slide, save as a jpeg and email it to yourself. You can check it out like any picture on your phone. Or just print it out on paper.

1 more I forgot. Scoutlookweather.com. Great site. The website is free, and it unilizes google maps. It has complete weather details for the locations you choose as well as lunar tables with peak hunting times (any time is peak for me). The cool feature is that you can markand save all your stand locations on the maps and using the scentcone feature the program will show you where your scent is blowing with the wind direction. Great website for picking stand locations with wind direction and you can get the app on android and Iphone. They are soon coming out with a hunters log feature also.
