Backwaters Bowhunter
Q- What state do you live in?
A- Alabama
Q- How many years have you been bowhunting?
A- 13
Q- What is your favorite animal to bowhunt & why?
A- Whitetail deer. I grew up hunting deer with my dad and have learned to respect their abilities to survive. Taking a mature whitetail deer is a difficult task.
Q- What is your favorite wildlife management area to hunt & why?
A- Wheeler Refuge. I enjoy hunting Wheeler because of the challenge of hunting highly educated deer. These deer have a Master's degree in survival. They receive high amounts of hunting pressure, which makes mature deer harder to come by.
Q- If you could go on any D.I.Y./PUBLIC LAND bow hunt, what would it be & why?
A- My dad and I would load up and try our luck on bowhunting elk, he has always wanted to give it a shot.
Q- What is the most useful bowhunting tip you can think of, to share with a new bowhunter?
A- The wind is your friend. Always be aware of the wind and use it to your advantage, don't put faith in scent killers and neglect the wind. Always be patient and have faith in your abilities and judgement. God bless.
