Still waiting for the season to open here. At least your seeing birds, that's good. They are definitely tough! Hang in there, hope you kill a biggin!

Good luck to you all turkey bowhunters. Public land is getting way overrun around here, hard to pull off even with a shotgun!

Our season here in Maryland has been in since the 18th of April. It has been a challenge, birds in western MD have only been gobbling in the tree. I'm hoping it gets better as the season goes on but am doubtful. As SlowBow pointed out all ready public land in being hammered. Good luck and enjoy the challenge.

I didn't get to go this weekend as my wife is out of town and I have to take care of my little girl. I will get out next weekend which is our last weekend. It has been tough so far but I have seen three birds. There are more people on the game lands for turkey then for deer during our deer season. That is unusual.

My season starts Monday the 4th. Got my eye on a few birds. This morning I discovered another guys on my 1st pick.
Guess that's where I'll bring my boys Saturday for Youth Day.

Good luck to you and your son. I hope you have a better season than I have been having. It's still fun though.

Got out on opening day. Was good day, hunted a WMA I've never hunted. This WMA consist of blueberry plains and open forest. A owl hooted when I shut the truck door. turkey gobbled. Followed the tree line till I got close, set up in some brush looking at the tree line. The tom walked by me at about 45yds. Tried but couldn't call him back. Got back out Sat. Not a sound
